A Former Assistant Organizing Secretary of GOFAMINT Students’ Fellowship, Lagos State University chapter, Olaide Oludayo Abiona has got a Fully Funded PhD Scholarship to United Stated after 10 Rejections.

While reminiscing on the journey to success, Olaide noted that he got rejected about 10 times but remained resolute in his quest to get a scholarship to his destination of choice. the United States.

The LASU graduate of Microbiology has braved the failures and difficulties to achieve his academic dream. Olaide Oludayo Abiona who is a graduate of Lagos State University (LASU) is the recipient of a fully funded PhD scholarship to read biomedical sciences at Medical College of Wisconsin, in Wisconsin, USA.

An excited Olaide broke the news on his LinkedIn page as he shared photos of his moment at the airport enroute to the USA.

He started applying for scholarships in his final year, Olaide revealed that he had always wanted to further his studies in the United States and began applying to US varsities and institutions right from his final year at Lagos State University, The first three applications he made were unsuccessful. Learning from the previous experience, the young man again applied but this time to 8 institutions. Unfortunately, 7 of the 8 turned out unsuccessful with only one giving him the nod. Describing his experience applying for scholarships, Olaide said it almost ate him up but he triumphed at the end. In his words:

“It was an extremely tough journey, one filled with diligence, hardwork, as well as psychological and emotional intricacies. I must confess that this mission almost ate me up and was one filled with a lot of uncertainties along the way. However, I triumphed in the end.”

In a time like this that a new move is brewing in Drama Evangelism, the National Drama Department of GOFAMINT Students’ Fellowship, GSF has deem it fit to organize a 2 day online Drama Training for her Drama members on spirituality and professionalism in Campus Drama Evangelism.

This was contained in a Release signed by Dare Fayemi B’shop, GSF National Drama Secretary and obtained by Godly Gems News Blog.

According to the Release, the theme for the training is “Equipped for Greater Exploits in Campus Drama Evangelism” and will cover Scriptwriting, Directing, Acting, Stage Management and Makeup Artistry.

The Drama Training which is the first of its kind will hold by 7pm on Friday, April 30th and 6pm on Saturday, May 1st, 2020 in an enclosed Telegram and WhatsApp Groups.

Fayemi disclosed that facilitators for the training are Evangelists Oyekunle Esan, Fadekemi Ekundayo, Chosen-Mic Adeniran, Oluwatobi Ogunyemi and Oluwafemi Dosu.

Gospel Filmmaker and Actor, Damilola Mike-Bamiloye will be gracing the National Conference of GOFAMINT Students Fellowship, GSF for the first time.

The conference is scheduled to hold from Thursday, 1st of April to Sunday 4th of April 2021 at GOFAMINT Gospel City, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Ogunmakin, Ogun State.

Damilola Mike-Bamiloye is a Nigerian film actor, dramatist, producer and director. He is a drama evangelist, producer and director in Mount Zion Faith Ministries.

He was born on September 16, 1989 as first child of Mike Bamiloye and Gloria Bamiloye, founders of Mount Zion Film Productions. He hails from Ijebu-Jesa in Osun State. His siblings are Darasimi Mike-Bamiloye (now Oyor) and Joshua Mike-Bamiloye. He produced his first movie, Youthful Lust, at the age of 15.

Damilola Mike-Bamiloye is a graduate of Mass Communication from Bowen University.

He served as his father’s Personal Assistant where his life was thoroughly sharpened. He got his first opportunity to shoot a film when his family travelled to Australia to shoot a film. He shot his first movie titled “Harvest of Crisis” in Australia. He is now a Director of Photography (DOP) in Mount Zion Film Productions. He produced the popular film series, “Abbatoir” which is currently enjoying massive viewership on his YouTube channel. The film received a lot of comments and testimonies. He also produced the movie, “The Train: The Journey of Faith” which is based on his father’s life. He is known for his role in the movie “The Ignition”.

He is married to Emmanuella Mike-Bamiloye, a medical doctor and dramatist, since November 10, 2018. They are blessed with a daughter named Gloria.

Ahead of tomorrow’s opening of the online registration portal for GOFAMINT Students’ Fellowship 19th Biennial National Conference, GSF National Publicity Department bring to you the step by step guide on how to register for the Conference seamlessly:

STEP 1: Visit: http://www.gsfnational.org

STEP 2: Click on “Register for National Conference” you will be redirected to the Registration page, then click on “Register” from the Navigation or “Register Now” from the overlay

STEP 3: Toggle Individual OR Fellowship OR Alumni button to start the registration process

STEP 4: Fill the resultant form and click “Proceed to Payment”

STEP 5: Enter your ATM card details and click pay to process payment, you can also choose transfer option for payment if you do not want to use the card option

STEP 6: Depending on your bank, you may need to enter an OTP and click continue

STEP 7: Allow the system to process payment untill it returns the page with your payment and login details

NOTE: Your payment and login details will be sent to the email you entered initially.

STEP 8: Login to portal with your conference I.D. and password to complete registration

STEP 9: Select gender, upload your passport (not more than 200kb) and click “Complete Registration” button to get your hostel, food stand and print your I.D. card.

STEP 10: Click “Conference Materials” to view/download conference materials if/when available.

Registration starts Monday, March 1st, 2021 and closes Wednesday, March 31st, 2021.
