WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT GSF
The Gofamint Students’ Fellowship (GSF) is the students’ ministry of the Gospel Faith Mission International (GOFAMINT). It was established with great passion in 1982 to:
- Pilot the spiritual affairs of GOFAMINT students in the midst of a polluted academic environment.
- Enhance academic emancipation of students in secondary and tertiary institutions in Nigeria.
- Facilitate academic excellence among Christian students.
- Foster social relationships guided by biblical principles and promote interpersonal, professional, and marital growth.
The Fellowship began at the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) and has grown to almost 100 campuses across Nigeria, with its National Secretariat at GOFAMINT’s International Office, KM. 40, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Aseese, Ogun State.
GSF has produced thousands of graduates now serving in various professional fields. Past National Presidents include:
- Evang. Z.I. Ilori
- Pastor D.A. Adekunle
- Pastor (Engr.) Tunde Ojo
- Pastor Akinola Oladele
- Pastor Richard Ologbonyo
- Pastor (Dr) Moses Aderibigbe
- Pastor (Dr) Gbenga Ayannuga
- Pastor Daniel Oyela
- Pastor (Dr) Seun Ajileye
- Pastor Tunde Sebanjo
- Pastor Taiwo Salau
In 1987, Evang. R.O. Usenu was appointed as National Coordinating Minister and served for 17 years. He was succeeded by Pastor Ologbonyo Richard in 2004, who led for 13 years.
In 2017, during the 17th Biennial Conference, the Fellowship was rebranded from “Gospel Students’ Fellowship” to “Gofamint Students’ Fellowship” to better reflect GOFAMINT’s identity. The administrative structure was also reorganized:
- Creation of the office of the Head of Youth and GSF, led by Pastor (Engr.) Tunde Ojo
- The title “National Coordinating Minister” changed to “National Campus Pastor (NCP)”
- Pastor (Dr) Aderibigbe Moses appointed as the new NCP
Despite challenges, GSF continues to thrive and expand, both locally and internationally.
