PART 2: GSF GENERAL ASSEMBLY: A HAVEN OF INSIGHTS AND INSTRUCTIONS

The afternoon session for the second day commenced with series of seminars for the attendees on the need for proper record keeping, generation of finance and a drive for global evangelism by our Field Pastors, Pastor (Dr) Olayemi Olanegan (Ondo), Pastor (Dr) I. Oyebola (Osun) and Pastor (Arch) Isaac Ajiboye (Ekiti).

After this, there was ample time for feedbacks and addressing of the concerns of the student leaders led by the National President, Pastor Kayode Adegbesan. The session then ended with Evang Joel Daramola leading us in prayers for the Church, observing the Victory month program. Prophetically, Pastor Aderibigbe decreed that because the earth is the Lord’s and his fullness thereof, it therefore become impossible for anything or anyone to restrict us. We will live and have our being no matter the threats of the enemy around us security-wise as a nation.

Because the earth is the Lord’s and his fullness thereof, it therefore become impossible for anything or anyone to restrict us.

The evening session was equally full of grace as Pastor Taiwo Adebayo, the NCP-designate started the night with the topic “Why Revival Tarries”. He explained that revival is a system by which things are brought back to life, quickened and restored. A life of lukewarmness and complacency, scanty prayer, lack of unity and faith, and heart full of unrepentance are the reason revival do tarry. He ended by charging the congregation to embrace a life that honours the Word, fear God, fervent in prayer, accountable and a heart always ready to repent.

Pastor (Prof) Moses Aderibigbe resumed on the fivefold ministry by explaining the critical need of the teaching priests in the Church today. He showed from Scripture how that the teacher is one who has been given grace of God to bring clarity to the things of the Spirit with an Apostolic grace that gives life. He emphasized that the goal of the teach is not to throw ideas around, rather it is to disciple and conform men to Christ. It is therefore dangerous for the Church of Jesus to be without the ministry gift of a teacher.

The retreat ended on Sunday with the Benediction, a prophetic release by Pastor (Prof) Moses Aderibigbe and other ministers. The congregants were charged to go do much more for the Lord knowing well that this year is the year of No More Lack.

The National Youth Conference, the biennial meeting of the Youths and Students ministries was well noted as the next official engagement at the national level combining all the delegates. Full participation was sought for it prayer-wise, financial-wise and publicity-wise.

In total, there were 148 registered attendees apart from the National Executive Council of GSF with Ogun and Osun with the highest representations.
